Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21, 1983. Maggie Grace is an American actress best known for her role as Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington in Ohio, dropped out high school and moved into Los Angeles after her divorced parents divorced. She was struggling to survive at the time she landed her first role in acting in the film Rachel's Room's lead character. After earning a Young Artist Award in 2002 due to her role of Murder In Greenwich of 15 year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to take home the award. Gyllenhaal debuted as a writer and director in 2021 with her psycho-drama The Lost Daughter. For this film she was awarded an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Academy Award.
